Installation of all medical gas piping, testing of pipeline systems for: Compressed Medical Gases, Gases for Driving Surgical Tools and Vacuum in healthcare facilities to ensure continuous delivery of the correct gas and the provision of vacuum from thepipeline system as per requirements for supply systems, pipeline distribution systems, control systems, monitoring and alarm systems.
Pipeline systems for the following medical gases: oxygen, nitrous oxide, medical air, carbon dioxide, oxygen/nitrous oxide mixtures; to pipeline systems for the following gases: oxygen-enriched air, air for driving surgical tools, nitrogen for driving surgical tools; and to pipeline systems for vacuum. Extensions of existing pipeline distribution systems, modifications of existing pipeline distribution systems and modifications or replacement of supply systems or sources of supply
New and retrofit equipment is installed in compliance with the requirements of: National Fire Protection Association (NFPA); Compressed Gas Association (CGA); American Hospital Association (AHA); and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA).
Certification: all systems go!
New medical and vacuum gas systems must be installed and certified in accordance with NFPA and state requirements.
In Phase I - leaks, cross connections, proper labeling, alarms, valves, manifolds, and outlets are verified with test gas.
Shutdowns and system tie-ins are coordinated with the plumbing contractor and healthcare facility.
In Phase 2 - the new system is connected and re-tested for flow purity, pressure, and proper connections, after which final 3rd party Med-Gas certification is issued.
